Quema est une collection de tables en frêne brûlé et brossé.

Après avoir minutieusement façonné, sculpté et assemblé sa table, l’artisan met le feu à son ouvrage.

En laissant brûler le bois, nous cherchons à saisir un instant d’équilibre, une expression subtile et vivante de la matière : les flammes accentuent les reliefs, font vibrer les textures, la matière se révèle entre les mains de l’artisan et du feu, dévoilant à chaque pièce une expressivité singulière.

Quema is a collection of tables made from brushed, burnt ash.

Once the table has been carefully shaped, carved, and assembled, the artisan sets the piece alight.

By allowing the wood to burn, we seek to capture a moment of balance, a subtle living expression of the material. The flames deepen the reliefs and animate the textures. Between the hands of the artisan and the action of fire, the wood reveals itself, giving each piece its own distinct character
